    Whitney Houston - Ginger Rogers' Signed Dancing Shoes Worn In The Stage Show Anything Goes, 1980. Ivory satin Di Fabrizio...Los Angeles pumps with baby blue satin bow and diamante buckle to each toe. Both shoes signed and inscribed inside in blue ink "To Whitney Houston/ Love from Ginger Rogers 1994". The right shoe is inscribed in an unknown hand on the base in black ink "GR Act 1 Scene 1 opening. Put buckles on. Anything Goes" . The left shoe is similarly inscribed. The shoes are with a descriptive plaque and a color photograph of Rogers signed and inscribed in black ink "Dear Whitney, These are my personal dancing shoes used in "Anything Goes" - You, dear heart are a dream. I long to meet you. Lovingly Ginger Rogers 1994". Overall dimensions of mat 20" x 27". There are evident signs of wear and use to the shoes with some marks and scuffs. Otherwise they are in Excellent condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Estate of Whitney E. Houston.

    These shoes were worn by Ginger Roger in the 1980 revival of Cole Porter's classic Broadway show Anything Goes co-starring Sid Caesar.

    Whitney was a longtime fan of Ginger Rogers and was an avid viewer of Ginger's films, especially those co-starring Fred Astaire. At a Hollywood Gala one evening, she told the organizer David Gest, who wanted to give her a gift for having performed, that she would like something signed from Ginger Rogers! David kept his word and Ginger was more than happy to gift Whitney with these special shoes.
