The Rolling Stones Official Steel Wheels Set of (6) Silver Commemorative Coins (1989). Official Rolling Stones-authorized set of (6) silver commemorative coins, adapted from artwork commissioned for the 1989 Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Tour. According to the enclosed COA from Rococo International Marketing, each silver proof coin weighs one full troy ounce of .999 pure silver, each measuring 39mm diameter; housed in fitted plush-lined box with outer card slip measuring 14" x 4" x 1" overall. The reverse designs of each coin by Alexander Shagin, and the obverse designs feature either "Steel Wheels" tour artwork, or a portrait in profile of each Rolling Stones member by Rafael Cidoncha who was appointed by the band: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman. An artistically exceptional immortalization of the Rolling Stones and their enormous impact on music and culture to date. In excellent condition, exhibits light handling wear to the outer card slip. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
