    The Doors Rare Lithographs from Original Negative by Joel Brodsky in Portfolio Box Set (4) (Icon Art,1997). We are excited to be able to offer this lot. Joel Brodsky created what have now become the most recognizable portraits of Jim Morrison and the Doors-capturing the Lizard King at the peak of his physical and artistic powers. Joel Brodsky's photographs appeared on the covers of the Doors first two albums, and subsequently on The Soft Parade and many Greatest Hits compilations. By Icon Art/NECA Here are four of his classic Lithographic prints in this rare box set portfolio. These images are part of a plate-signed edition with Mr. Brodsky's signature printed in the lower right hand corner. The number of prints in this plate-signed edition is limited to five thousand. Each Lithographic print is hand numbered and embossed on 100 lb. Quintessence Dull Cover acid free stock. 1) "Best of the Doors" released in 1973. The print size is 22" by 26". Image size is 19" by 19" and is numbered 1071/5000 sealed in the original plastic with a NECA seal. Print comes with a certificate of authenticity and appears new in package; 2) "Mirrors" original photograph was shot in 1970. Print size is 26" by 22". Image size is 23" by 17" and is numbered 1071/5000 sealed in the original plastic with a NECA seal. Print comes with a certificate of authenticity and appears new in package; 3) "Silhouette" Original photograph shot in 1970. Print size is 22" by 26". Image size 18.5" by 20.5". Numbered 1071/5000 sealed in the original plastic with NECA seal. Print comes with a certificate of authenticity and appears new in package; 4) "Doors Greatest Hits" album released 1980. Print size: 26" by 22". Image size 23" by 17.75" Numbered 1071/5000 sealed in the original plastic with a NECA seal. Print comes with a certificate of authenticity and appears new in package. All housed in a large box measuring approx: 24" by 29.5". Joel Brodsky was a legendary photographer. His work appeared on over 400 album covers, He is especially recognized for his "Young Lion" photographs of the larger than life Jim Morrison. The power of Joel's work really shines through in this portfolio. Wonderful to frame and hang on the wall or store in the box for safe keeping. Either way do not miss out on these iconic images from one of Rock n Rolls best bands and the Lizard King. A must have for the collector as well as a fine art enthusiast. Nice investment.
