    Description

The Beatles "Say Pepsi Please" Transistor Radio in Original Box with Photo (1964). When the Beatles landed in America on Feb 7, 1964, they were given these promotional radios. Albert and David Maysles -- two brothers and filmmakers later known for their work on Monterey Pop and Gimme Shelter, among many other documentaries -- had access to the Fabs. They followed and filmed them listening to the radios. (see picture) measuring: 4 ¼" by 4". The miniature radio is shaped like a vending machine and measures approx: 7" by 3 ½" in leather carrying case. Also included is the earphone and a picture of the Beatles listening to the radio. Note: This is not one of the radios the Beatles owned. It is an original example in the box. Radio is in Good condition with some plastic loss on the bottom approx: ¾". Smudged Pepsi logos on both sides. The backing does not appear to be removeable, thus making a battery change difficult. Don't miss your chance to pick up this piece of Beatles history. These are scarce especially in the box. From the Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
