Description
The Beatles Original Large Bongos, Mastro No. 370, Super-Rare, Instructions and Repro Display Box(USA,1964). Getting harder to find. The Bongos are the real deal from 1964 and the Large set. The bongos themselves are red plastic with a "Permanent Weatherproof Head [that says] Stays in Tune". The head diameters are approximately 6 3/4" & 5 3/4" with color Beatles image decals on the front of each bongo. (These decals are reproductions.) The Mastro decal at the center is an original. Overall bongo dimensions are approximately 13.5" wide x 6.5" tall. The outer surface of the bongos have a non slip patch on each end. (The box is a reproduction we don't know the year) and measures approx: 14.5" x 7.5" x 7" The box bears the Beatles images on top that opens up into a self-contained store display. It states "Made in U.S.A. Under License" on top of the display box. Box shows wear, some color staining, a few dents, soiling and a few tears. The insert is present. Also included the original instruction pamphlet. Pamphlet has some tearing down the center on each page also wear and folding. Bongos are in Very Good condition with some wear and yellowing to the skins surface. One side of the bongos has a vertical scratch approx 1.5" long. This is a rare and desirable example missing from a lot (if not most) Beatle collections. Add these bongos to the collection. From The Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection.
