The Beatles Mini Hofner Bass and Guitar Case by Gartlan 1557/10000 (2). These came and went. This replica of the famous vintage 1962 Hofner Bass has been meticulously recreated by Gartlan USA in "bonded porcelain." Based on Paul McCartney's left-handed 1962 violin bass, it has delighted Hofner aficionados with its exacting details of the original model. Hand painted with remarkable precision is a 1.5 scale measuring approx: 8.5". The bass is hand numbered and limited to a world wide edition of 10,000 pieces, of which this is #1557. This rare replica comes with its own base and back stand, along with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity by the late R.H. Gartlan. Also included is a faux leather bass case. I knew Bob Gartlan and he was a straight shooter that worked very hard to put out the best products. This example does not disappoint. These are very rare and a must for any fan that appreciates music. Both will display well and make a nice addition to the collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
