    Description

The Beatles 8MM Souvenir Reels (4) With Plastic Argus Projector, Order Forms (6), and Mailing Envelopes (2) (1964). Long before home video and YouTube, Beatlemaniacs had this option. This contains four reels of silent behind-the-scenes footage from the "Beatle Buys" collection, which offered souvenir 8MM movies and slides, based out of Hollywood. Includes: 1) A plastic Argus projector, measuring 6" from front to back, and 6" from top to bottom; 2) A 4" x 4" white box with a stamp on a spine saying "100 Ft. Hard Days Night." Box has soil marks on the edges and wear due to use; 3) A 4" x 4" box with a stamp on a spine saying "Beatles Newsreel," holding a reel of 100 feet of film. Box has handling and storage fold marks; 4) A 3" x 3" box with a stamp saying "Beatles Newsreel" on a spine, holding a reel of 50 feet of film. Box has some handling and wear due to use; 5) A 3" x 3" box with a stamp saying "# 4 Beatles / In / Washington" on the top portion, holding a reel of 50 feet of film. All reels appear to be in Very Good condition; 6) Six folded 8.5" x 11" pages of advertisements for the various films, slides, and posters, including the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and other contemporaries; 7) A 4.2" x 9.5" used mailing envelope from Beatle Buys; 8) A 3.5" x 6" envelope addressed to Hollywood Home Movies. It's a rare find when both the newsreels and the projector are included. From the Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
