RCA Victor Promo Stand-Ups - Lot of 11 (c. 1945). A lot of 11 delightful cardboard promos for RCA Victor recording artists, circa 1945, designed to decorate record and music shops and plug the RCA product. The 11 stars each stand 15" tall, their "feet" inserted into an RCA Victor record base, and they include (in full color) bandleaders Spike Jones, Vaughn Monroe, Sammy Kaye, Tommy Dorsey, Charlie Spivak, Wayne King, Freddy Martin, Erskine Hawkins, and Tex Beneke, as well as singers Perry Como and Betty Rhodes. All the stand-ups have weathered the decades very well except Ms. Rhodes, who has one unattached leg that can be repaired with glue. In overall Fine condition. Charming items that fully evoke the big band era of World War II.
