NME Poll-Winners Concert Program (Walthamstow Press, 1964). The program for the NME' annual Poll-Winners All-Star Concert featured a virtual Who's Who of popular British music artists in 1964, including the up-and-coming Beatles. Other honorees included Cliff Richards (the heir apparent to Elvis, at least in England!), Dave Clark Five, Freddie and the Dreamers, Gerry & the Pacemakers, the Hollies, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, Manfred Mann, the Rolling Stones, the Searchers, and many others. A fascinating look at what was shaping UK - and the US, as the British Invasion was well under way - from the UK equivalent of Billboard, NME.
