Jimi Hendrix Smash Hits Alternate Cover Proof in Framed Display (1969). A beautiful proof of an alternate, never produced cover to Hendrix's Smash Hits, a greatest hits compilation released with a cover showing a triple-exposure image of Jimi in 1968 (UK) and 1969 (US). This gritty alternate is a fantastic photograph of Jimi, Mitch Mitchell, and Noel Redding in a dusty Wild West setting, on horseback, and dressed like banditos. As scarce as it is interesting, very few of these proofs were ever produced. Framed and double-matted to an overall size of 22.75" x 22.75", this rarity is a very cool piece of Hendrix history.
