Description

Flying Burrito Brothers - Chris Hillman Owned "Burrito Manor" Wood Trunk. A veritable piece of Rock & Roll history, this trunk was purchased by Flying Burrito Brothers and Gram Parsons manager Phil Kaufman as decor for "Burrito Manor," the house shared in the late 60s by Chris Hillman, Gram Parsons and Michael Clarke while forming the legendary Country-Rock group the Flying Burrito Brothers. Used to store stage clothing, lyrics, and musical equipment, this (treasure) chest was consigned by Connie Hillman, longtime US tour producer for legendary performer Elton John and wife of the incredibly influential Chris Hillman, original member of the Flying Burrito Brothers and the Byrds. Constructed of stained and lacquered plywood and metal hinges, latches, chains and rivets, the trunk measures approximately 33" x 15.5" x 17". Fine condition, with scratches, dings and wear normal for use and age. LOA from Chris Hillman/Bar None Music. COA from Heritage Auctions.
