Elvis Presley Top Ten Men of the Year Award Watch. One of several of watches Elvis had made in 1971 as awards for recipients of the Memphis Jaycees' Top Ten Men of the Year award. This particular watch was awarded to Elvis' close personal friend, George Klein. The watch is from the same design that Elvis commissioned from Memphis jeweler Harry Levitch circa 1969 -- a series of customized premium Swiss-made watches, which the King gave to family, close friends, selected staff, band members, and other privileged sorts. These served to identify the wearer as one with "all access" status at Elvis' concerts and tours. Mr. Levitch crafted a bezel with "Elvis Presley" in raised circular letters. A Mathey-Tissot "Automatic" model, it is self-winding, water-resistant, has a sweeping second hand, and day/date display, with a stainless steel underside and an adjustable wrist band. The watch is still functional and in Very Fine to Excellent condition with only very mild wear. From the George Klein Archive, accompanied by a letter of provenance from Klein.
