Elvis Presley's Personally Owned Roustabout 16mm Reel Group (1964). Back in the pre-video revolution that spawned VCRs and DVD players, the only way to watch movies (other than on late-night television) was to own a 16mm projector, and screen the film yourself. Elvis of course owned state-of-the-art film equipment, and enjoyed screening films (including those he starred in) at home in Graceland. Here is the King's personal copy of one of his best mid-'60s features, the carnival-themed film Roustabout, co-starring Barbara Stanwyck, Leif Eriksson, and Joan Freeman. The film is on three large reels, housed in an original carrying case. Included is a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity from the Estate of Elvis Presley at Graceland, the original of which accompanies another Roustabout offering in our auction.
