    Description

Elvis Presley Concert Used Microphone (1970s). This Shure brand microphone originally belonged to the late J. D. Sumner, Elvis' longtime bass singer. Sumner gave three mics to Elvis for his use on stage during the early 1970s concert performances. Elvis eventually returned the mics, at which point Sumner "retired" the them as a tribute to his friend. All three were later located by J. D. Sumner's daughter Shirley in a box labeled "Elvis' Mics". A unique, symbolic artifact associated with the King of Rock and Roll and his trusted friend. From the J. D. Sumner Archives. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Shirley Sumner Enoch.
