Elvis Presley 14K Gold "TCB" Necklace (Schwarz & Ableser, 1970s). An acronym of Elvis' personal motto, "Taking Care of Business," combined with a very Captain Marvel-like lightning bolt turned into an iconic symbol for the King. He painted it on the tail of his plane, the Lisa Marie, and had it made into jewelry which he gave to his friends. The twelve original necklaces in this style were made by Schwartz & Ableser Jewelers of Beverly Hills in October 1970; they were based on a design sketched by Elvis and Priscilla. The present example is from this same jeweler and was made for Elvis. The 1.75" long "TCB" symbol is attached to a heavy claspless rope necklace of approximately 25", all in 14K plumb gold. It is contained in original Ableser's Fine Jewelry gift and outer boxes. Excellent condition. A letter is included from Greg Ableser stating: "This is to certify that the enclosed TCB is an authentic made by Schwartz and Ableser originally for Elvis Presley."
