This rare book captures Elvis Presley on stage and behind the scenes; Buddy Holly playing and traveling, only a year before his untimely death; The Everly Brothers as headliners; Frankie Avalon primping; Buddy Holly and Don Everly sharing private jokes; and Bobby Darin singing on stage. Lew's unique body of work was recorded between 1956 and 1958. An extraordinary book of a bygone era. The King as you have never seen him before, captured by a 17-year-old, who got his start when he just happened to be the only professional photographer at the Cleveland Arena in November, 1956 as Elvis Presley took the stage. Signed by Lew Allen and Mike McCartney. Fully-bound in blue suede, with silver tooling and page edging, and stored in a hand-made black cardboard box. Includes three signed prints featuring Elvis, The Everly Brothers, and Bobby Darin. In Near Mint condition.
