David Gest Owned Fantasia Bowl Designed by Walt Disney (Vernon Kilns, 1940). Rare piece, pink, inspired by the "Pastoral Symphony" segment from Walt Disney's masterpiece, Fantasia. Vernon Kilns - one of the "Big Five" California pottery companies - had a license with Disney to produce figurines and ceramic ware related to his films in 1940-41, after which the production was taken over by American Pottery. A highly-sought piece, with "Designed by / Walt Disney / Copyright 1940 / Vernon Kilns / Made in U.S.A. / 125" fired and stamped on bottom. Measures approximately 10" x 2.5". Fine condition, with minimal wear. From the David Gest Memorabilia Archive.
