DescriptionCanned Heat-Related Items (10). A group of 10 items once owned by Richard Hite, a member of Canned Heat. Consigned to us by a personal friend of the band.
Lot includes: 1) A "Beale Street Mess Around" tribute concert poster, held on April 23, 1995 at BB King's Blues Club in Memphis. Featuring John Sebastian as the headliner. Housed partially in plastic with a cardboard backing. Measures 14" x 22 ¼". In Very Good Plus condition with light wear; 2) Three photo prints of "King Biscuit Time" attached to cardboard backing boards. Each measures 20" x 16". Overall, in Very Good condition with soiling, creasing, tearing, and toning; 3) A photo print of an unidentified blues player, placed on a thick piece of backing board. Measures 12 ½" x 17". In Good condition with toning, soiling, and bumped corners throughout; 4) Piano sheet music for "One Night In June" and "Aggravatin' Papa," published by Waterson, Berlin & Snyder Co. Measures 9" x 12". In Very Good condition with creasing and tears; 5) Newspaper clippings from a Memphis newspaper, dated Sunday, July 28, 1991 about a blues museum. Placed on light backing board and housed in plastic, measuring to an overall 17 ¼" x 11 ¼". In Very Good condition with toning throughout; 6) A photo print (with a stamp on verso) featuring the guitar case of W. Furry Lewis. Measures 20" x 16". In Very Good Minus condition with a tear, creasing and fold marks throughout; 7) A black and white glossy shot of an unidentified group. Measures 10" x 8". In Good condition with a tear, creasing, and soiling; 8) A unused postcard featuring Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Measures 4 ¼" x 6". In Very Good condition with some spots of soiling.
