Bill Haley Twin Bar Concert Handbill (circa early 1950s). Very Rare. Double-sided, printed on paper, featuring a black and white image of Haley in a Western outfit, with printed facsimile signature. The handbill is stamped with the venue details in blue "Twin Bar / Broadway at Market, Gloucester, N.J." Measures 8" x 10". In Very Good Minus condition with wear on the corners and a 3/4" tear in the bottom left corner.

The Twin Bar is considered to be one of the birthplaces of Rock n' Roll music. Bill Haley and his Saddlemen (prior to being renamed the Comets) were the resident band there for eighteen months during the early 1950s. Though, at first they were a Cowboy band, Haley developed their style, with their 1951 version of Jackie Brenston's "Rocket 88" signalling a clear transition into Rock n' Roll, three years before they recorded "Rock Around The Clock."
