Beatles Yesterday and Today Stereo Butcher Cover Test Proof Slick. If you liked the Mono version slick in the previous lot, you're going to love this one! It's even more rare, a beautiful printer's proof of the infamous cover originally slated to front the same album that gave us the classic "Yesterday." Not to be confused with the more common Butcher Cover slicks that were produced in greater quantity for use by Capitol Records employees, which contain the final, entire album cover, this earlier, pre-production version, 14" x 18.5" slick features the image and the band across the top reading "New Improved", but is otherwise devoid of the text found on the final Stereo cover -- no album title, no song listing, no Capitol logo -- it's even missing the rest of what was to go with "New Improved", which was "Full Dimensional Stereo" inside the top gray-purple banner.

Note the color alignment bars and cut mark indicators at the top of the slick and how the image is uncropped, showing more image than even the final First State album cover. In Very Fine condition with some wear and mild discoloration along the edges. Accompanied by an LOA from the original owner.
