    Description

Beatles Two Concert Programs From the Helen Shapiro Tour (UK, 1963). These two fantastic concert programs capture - almost to the moment - one of the most exciting periods in the Beatles career, precisely when they "hit it big" in Britain. Their second single "Please Please Me" was released on January 11, and went to number one on the British charts on February 22nd. They'd begun a nationwide tour with Helen Shapiro on February 2nd at the bottom of the bill. But with the immediate radio success of the new song, coupled with their second appearance on the Thank Your Lucky Stars television program on February 17th, they quickly moved to second only to Shapiro on the tour bill. The Shapiro tour ended on March 3rd, the day after this Sheffield date, which was two days after John and Paul wrote "From Me To You" on the tour bus, the song quickly recorded as the Beatles' third single on March 5th. For the rest of their careers, the Beatles would be the headlining stars. The programs include: 1) Granada, Bedford, February 6, 1963, 8" x 10.5", 4 pages, staple bound. Illustrated with black-and-white photos of the entertainers on the tour. Slightly wrinkled, with a few scattered small stains, small closed tears and old smoothed fold creases, otherwise good condition. 2) "The Helen Shapiro Show" souvenir program, undated and showing no specific venue. 8" x 10.5". Staple bound. Twelve pages, illustrated with black-and-white photos of the entertainers and bios of each act. Small closed tear at the top right corner of the cover; top left back cover with small portion of corner missing, and stain rust from staples. Otherwise very good condition. The Connie and Dennis Dailey Monumental Beatles Collection.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
