Beatles-Related - John Lennon as Guest DJ in Los Angeles, 1974, Film and Photos. By the early 1970s, Los Angeles radio station KHJ had gone through a number of format changes; and by 1974 it was existing as a Rock station that would occasionally invite music superstars to host one of their airtime slots. On September 20, 1974, they allowed their morning drive time slot to be hosted by John Lennon, who at the time was promoting his new album Walls and Bridges, as well as Harry Nilsson's LP Pussy Cats (which Lennon had produced during his "Lost Weekend" period), and many of the songs Lennon played were from these albums. Included is a three-minute reel of Super 8 film footage and nine b&w snapshots of Lennon interacting with fans before departing the station. These are accompanied by a DVD-ROM copy of the footage, a contact sheet and negatives for the photos, and a CD-ROM disc containing digital copies of the images. All Items are in Excellent condition.
