Beatles Related - Abbey Road Street Sign. The Beatles named their final studio album "Abbey Road" (1969) after the EMI Abbey Road Studios where it was recorded, which in turn took its name from its North London location. Both the album and its cover image, which depicts the Beatles walking across said street, have since become music icons. (Usurping, the street has been a tourist attraction since 1970.) This tin street sign is one This sign is one of the heavier versions that adorned the road in the late 60's and early '70s, before they were replaced with newer versions -- most recently, ones painted on the sides of buildings to prevent theft.
