Description

Beatles Related - Abbey Road Street Sign. The Beatles named their final studio album Abbey Road (1969) after the EMI Abbey Road Studios where it was recorded, which in turn took its name from its North London location. Both the album and its cover image, which depicts the Beatles walking across said street, have since become music icons (the street has been a tourist attraction since 1970.) . This 30" x 17.5" tin street sign is one of the series of metal signs that adorned the road in the 1970s, before they began to be replaced with newer versions, most recently signs painted on buildings. This sign is one of the heavier versions from the early '70s and is in Very Fine condition with some signs of wear.
