    Description

Beatles Original Yellow Submarine Ringo Starr Porcelain Figurine by Goebel (1968). A hand-painted, 8.5" tall figurine of a mustached Ringo in a wild red and blue striped coat, orange shirt, and wide tie, manufactured in Germany by the venerable Goebel Company in 1968. On the bottom of the right foot is an impressed "BULL 307" with "1968" on the left along with the three line "© by/ W. Goebel/ W. Germany" mark (TMK5, 1964-1972)) in blue. This is part of a set of four Beatle images (all are offered in this auction) that was made for the American market at the release of the popular Yellow Submarine movie. The quantity of sets made is rumored to be no more than 100. There are few Beatle collectibles rarer or more desirable than this beautiful piece of German workmanship. A rare opportunity for the advanced collector. Very Fine condition.
