Beatles Original Yellow Submarine John Lennon Porcelain Figurine by Goebel (1968). A stunning. psychedelically hand-painted 8.5" tall figurine manufactured in Germany by the venerable Goebel Company in 1968. On the bottom of the right foot is an impressed "BULL 308" with "1968" on the left along with the three line "© by/ W. Goebel/ W. Germany" mark (TMK5, 1964-1972)) in blue. This is one of a set of four Beatle figures (all are offered in this auction) that was made for the American market at the release of the movie; it is rumored that there were no more than 100 sets manufactured. There are few Beatle collectibles more desirable than this. It is definitely absent from a number of even advanced Beatle collections.
