Description

A Group of Eight Beatles Figure Sets In Original Packaging, Including Subuteo and Emirober Figures, (UK, Spain and Hong Kong, 1960s). Here are eight sets of figurines from the 1960s - often presented as cake decorations - depicting the Beatles with instruments, and still in original packaging. Beginning with a very nice unboxed set of the Subuteo hand-painted figurines from the UK, with all guitars and bindings in place, Ringo's paper drum from the original package missing but reproduced as a photocopy. In the early 1960s the Spanish company Emirober cleverly produced sets of four 3" plastic figures, with bag tags that depicted one Beatle only - meaning that the most devoted fans would purchase four, in order to get a full set of all four Beatles on the bag tags! Here are all four, still sealed, and in Excellent condition.
Also includes three different versions of "The Swingers", a name that was used extensively for unauthorized figures, often emanating from Asia. The Gay-Gem Products company marketed such a set as "The Swingers" cake decorations, which would also include other items, such as the plastic guitar and candle holders here. In Very Good condition, still sealed on the display card which measures 12" high. A rare "Swingers Music Set" has four small head-nodding figures, approximately 4" high, in Excellent condition and still sealed on the original display card. A boxed version of the "Swingers Music Set" with 3" figures in performance poses within a 11" wide box, please note that the figures have been glued in place within the box for display purposes at the Beatlemania Hamburg exhibit.
