A Group of Beatles Vinyl Wallets and Purses (1960s). While the Beatles captured the fancy of people of all ages and both sexes, the core of their early fanbase was, without question, tens of millions of young girls. The companies which lined up to produce Beatles merchandise were clearly aware of this demographic, and the market was soon ripe with the various types of items found in this lot. Included are two wallets by Standard Plastic Products with various internal compartments and grooming items inside, one red and one yellow, and measuring 4.25" x 3.75". Also included are a rare English zippered vinyl coin purse with drawings of the group and the song title "I Should Have Known Better", measuring 2.5" x 5", as well as a smaller American red plastic coin holder measuring 2" x 3". Rounding out the group is a chic black vinyl handbag with brass-trimmed handles, and a zippered side compartment, measuring 10" x 10". The plastic coin holder in Very Good condition, the rest all in Good condition with some soiling, scuffs, and tears consistent with age, the English coin purse missing its zipper pull, but the zipper still fully functioning. From the Uwe Blaschke Beatles Collection.
