A Bravo - Beatles - Blitztournee Archive (Germany 1966). The Beatles' only tour of Germany after they'd become international stars occurred in the summer of 1966, two months before the group ceased touring forever. It was a quick - six concerts over three days in three cities - and was dubbed the "blitztournee" (lightning tour). With the German entertainment magazine Bravo promoting the shows, the alliterative name BRAVO-BEATLES-BLITZTOURNEE was adopted and used extensively to refer to the tour, and can be seen prominently at the concert venues. The Beatles famously traveled between the three cities - Munich, Essen, and Hamburg - on a private train which had been used to transport the Queen of England on a royal visit to Germany just a month before. This lot includes a fantastic relic of the Beatles' German journey - an original, typed dinner menu from the train, likely for the meal served the evening of June 25, after their performances in Essen while en route to Hamburg. Also with an original vintage 11.5" x 8" photograph of the Beatles on board the train earlier that day. Another vintage 8" x 6"press photo shows the group performing in Essen at the Gruga-Halle, and the lot includes three postcards showing the hall's exterior. Twelve more photos and two negatives are also included of the Beatles performing, greeting their fans, giving press conferences, and meeting with their German record company - activities which are concisely described in a photocopy of the five-page tour itinerary, typed in German and covering all tour logistics - arrivals, departures, hotels, meals, meetings, press conferences, etc - for the approximately 100 hours they spent in Germany. An original Blitztournee program (some pages missing) and a bronze medallion produced in Germany in 1966 to promote the tour are also included, as are later copies of other tour ephemera, all items generally Very Good or better, 24 in all. From the Uwe Blaschke Beatles Collection.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
