Motown: James Jamerson Original Motown Bass Recording Score - "Girl, Why You Wanna Make Me Blue" (The Temptations). Rare bass chart used by Motown Hall of Fame session star James Jamerson to record "(Girl) Why You Wanna Make Me Blue" in 1964. Jamerson, the father of the electric bass, followed this early hit with hundreds upon hundreds of fantastic and innovative bass lines over the next seven years of non-stop hit production with the Funk Brothers. This particular James Jamerson bass score is in fine, unmarked condition reflecting the practice of letting Hitsville's master bassist use the written riffs as a springboard for his lightning fast improvisational talent. From the files of famed Motown Musical Director Cornelius Grant. Framed with a photo of Jamerson and a copy of the 45 rpm record. Image dimensions: 9-1/2 x 12-1/2, framed dimensions: 19-1/4 x 33-1/4.
