Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley Inscribed Print, Photos, and Memorabilia (1967-78). The year 1967 was significant for Elvis Presley. Early that year he had bought a getaway ranch in Mississippi, less than 20 miles from Graceland, that he dubbed The Circle G. After his marriage to Priscilla Beaulieu in May, he honeymooned at the ranch, and it was there that a persistent fan named Marilyn Tittle was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and meet Elvis. Her story is fascinating, and you can read all the details at
Included here is a 16" x 20" color portrait-print of Elvis obtained directly from a guard at Graceland, who admired the young lady's perseverance hanging out at the gates of Graceland on the off-chance she would meet - or even just catch a glimpse of - the King. Finally, the guard ("Mr. Peppers") suggested she might find Elvis at his ranch, where he was presently honeymooning with his new bride. Peppers went so far as to facilitate her getting on the grounds, where she met Elvis and Priscilla, both posing for her and inscribing her print.
Seeing if lightning could strike twice within a very short time, the Ohio resident returned to Memphis one month later, this time catching Elvis' dad Vernon as he approached the gate at Graceland. Vernon, too, signed the print!
After Elvis' death our traveler returned to Memphis, this time finding herself talking to two ranking members of "The Memphis Mafia", Charlie Hodge and Billy Smith (Elvis' cousin), who signed a brochure for her.
Included in this very personal archive are the thrice-signed portrait-print, the signed 5.5" x 8.5" brochure, and four remarkable 3.5" x 3.5" photos of Marilyn posing with Elvis, Priscilla, Travis Smith (Circle G foreman), and "Mr. Peppers", the Graceland guard.
The year 1967 was a very good year for the King, and it was no less an unforgettable one for super-fan Marilyn Tittle! COA from Heritage Auctions and Rich Consola.
