    Description

Graceland Decorating Invoices (1957). When Elvis purchased Graceland in early 1957, he went to great lengths to make the new house his home. On the advice of Sam Phillips, Golden's of Memphis was hired to remake the home for the Presleys. The 22 invoices included here attest to the extent The King went to put his own stamp on the Colonial-style home built in 1939. From custom-made furniture, shelves, and cabinets to interior furnishings, pantry stock, and every imaginable accessory, it's all here on these original carbon invoices. Also included is a vintage color photograph circa 1957 of Elvis strolling in front of his new digs. COA from the Estate of Elvis Presley at Graceland.
