    Big Brother and the Holding Company - Peter Albin Signed Concert Contract, Rhode Island School of Design, February 25, 1968. Dated January 30, 1968, this three-page standard Federation contract is for a Sunday afternoon concert at the Reflectory, the guaranteed fee being $2250. Signed both by the school's Student Activity Director and Peter S. Albin for the band. This was one of the early gigs on their first tour of the East Coast. In the book On the Road with Janis Joplin by Road Manager John Byrne Cook, this show is mentioned: "On Sunday we do a show at the Rhode Island School of Design, in Providence, to an enthusiastic crowd of stoned art students. Janis is delighted. 'They're just like hippies!' she says." Flattened horizontal and vertical folds, staple holes at top left, Fine condition.
