Beatles and Beatles Related - A Collection of Early 1960s Liverpool-Area Handbills This collection of five vintage handbills provide a unique insight into the early Rock 'n' roll scene in what would soon be the most important city for music in the world - Liverpool. The handbills were originally owned by a "Johnny Guitar" Byrnes, a member of Rory Storm & The Hurricanes, and Storm (naturally) appears on every show. But the group rosters also feature a who's who of the important Liverpool acts of the time, including The Searchers, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Big Three, Derry and the Seniors, and - headlining the "Swinging Lunch Time Rock Session" at the Liverpool Jazz Society on March 15, 1961 - The Beatles! At that gig it is interesting to note that Pete Best was still the Beatles drummer, while Ringo also appeared as a member of Rory Storm's band! Each handbill measures approximately 8.5" x 5.5", and are in overall Very Good Plus condition with no tears, holes, or tape marks, and only a few slight creases and folds - they will display beautifully! COA from Frank Caiazzo.
