Creedence Clearwater Revival 1969 Seattle, Washington Concert Poster. An original thick cardboard advertising window card for John Fogerty & the gang playing the Seattle Center Arena on Saturday, July 12, 1969. This was Creedence at its peak: all four founding members still present, and during the year they dominated the airwaves and could seemingly do no wrong. They were right in the middle of three straight smash hits that are still their most enduring: "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising" and "Green River," and their second album, Bayou Country, was still in the national Top 10.

The concert poster itself is a beauty, printed on very thick and sturdy board by the Washington Poster Co. The yellow, slightly orange and bright pink colors surrounding the band's picture add tremendous zest to this. For some reason there are very few good CCR concert posters out there, and many would consider this to be a strong candidate for the best.

Measures 15" x 22 ½" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Poster had 12 staple and tack holes in the upper and bottom white margins (including all four corners) that were professionally pressed in to smooth them out. When held at an angle to the light, there are a few surface scuffs over the band's name and the ticket info in lower right. Also, a couple of surface creases down to the right of "$5.50." Overall, however, the poster's in great shape and shows very little aging other than those dozen tack holes (now significantly reduced), the only thing that keeps this from ‘Near Mint Minus.' Day-Glo colors as fresh and vibrant as the day they were printed.
