    Description

    Whitney Houston Stage-Worn Custom Designed Marc Bouwer Jumpsuit, 1991. Black crushed velvet form-fitting jumpsuit with high neck and plunging back, adorned throughout with costume beads of various shapes, labeled "Marc Bouwer". With a copy of an 8" x 10" still of Houston performing in the outfit. In near Excellent condition with only a few beads detached/missing. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Estate of Whitney E. Houston.

    Marc Bouwer was one of Whitney Houston's favorite designers and provided numerous outfits for her stage performances, including this piece worn during her 1991 I'm Your Baby Tonight tour. He also created the stunning wedding gown that Whitney wore for her marriage to Bobby Brown in 1992 (See lot 89046).

    As seen in the Whitney Houston exhibit in the Grammy Museum from August 1, 2012 through May 27, 2013.
