Prince's Hat from "My Name is Prince" Video and CD Cover. In 1992, "My Name Is Prince" returned Prince & the New Power Generation to radio and the Top 40 in the US after their previous single, the provocative "Sexy M.F.", failed to chart. The song is about Prince himself, and his musical prowess; ironically, not long after this single was released, Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol (aka, the Love Symbol). This black peaked hat with gold plastic chain-link veil and early version of the Love Symbol was worn by the Artist in the video for the single. The hat is in Excellent condition, and is accompanied by a copy of the CD single, in which the hat is visible on the cover.
