DescriptionJimi Hendrix Owned and Worn Suede Bell-Bottom Pants (Circa 1967-70). Western-style tan suede bell-bottom pants, with silver conchas and green suede trim at the bottom of each leg, personally owned and worn by Jimi Hendrix. Likely purchased by Hendrix while in Great Britain, these pants feature a label stitched into the lining of the waist reading "Dandy/ King's Road Chelsea." Dandy Fashion was cutting-edge clothing boutique in London, frequented by celebrities through the 1960s. The metal fly button is stamped with the Levi Strauss logo. No size noted. Fine condition. LOAs from Concerts West/Tom Hulett and Al Hendrix (copy).
Known for mixing a wide range of clothing styles, from "exotic" looks of the Near East and South Asia to rugged, stylized cowboy garments that would look right at home in a classic Western, Hendrix was - in addition to being arguably the most important guitar player in popular music history - a hippie/counterculture style icon of the era.
