    Description

Gram Parsons Blue Leather Jacket (Circa 1969). A cerulean blue shade, very narrow lapels, two front breast pockets with miniature sterling silver 'belt buckle' closures, same silver buckles at either cuff, two button front closure (though one button now missing), two snap flaps on back waist area, blue and tan paisley satin lining; included is an undated handwritten letter reading in part "(this jacket) was purchased / ... by / me personally. I had / seen him wearing the jacket several years / earlier at the Troubador / nightclub in L.A. Since / purchasing it I had / some work done on it / from the person who / made it for him - / Nudie's / Western Shop / ...Love, / Hunt Sales" -- "Sales" being a rock drummer and the son of radio and TV personality, Soupy Sales; no labels appear in jacket so it's likely that it was just altered by Nudie (as Sales' letter mentions) and not actually made by him, though it could have been as Parsons was one of Nudie's many famous clients. (Please note the jacket is now in severely worn and used condition with leather loss, cracking, and tears evident throughout.)
