Description

Elvis Presley Owned and Worn Religious Medallion Gifted To His Girlfriend Linda Thompson (circa early 1970s). A 1.5" multi-stone diamond pendant necklace with a relief of Jesus Christ on one side, with diamonds set in the eyes, and a relief of the Virgin Mary on the other, on a 24" chain. Originally a gift from a fan, Elvis wore it several times before giving it to then-girlfriend, Linda Thompson. Includes a red suede bag and a photo of Thompson wearing the pendant. Fine condition. COA from Linda Thompson.

Excerpt from Linda Thompson's COA: "This very meaningful medallion was a gift to Elvis from a very devoted fan, early on in our relationship. He wore this medallion several times, before giving it to me. Elvis and I shared a Christian faith, so his gift to me of this beautiful medallion of Christ that he had personally worn was very meaningful. Elvis was well known for his love of gospel music and for his deeply religious beliefs. The depiction of Christ is encrusted with diamonds and rubies to represent the blood of Jesus. The photo taken at Graceland of Elvis and me wearing the necklace was taken shortly after Elvis placed the medallion around my neck as a gift. Elvis grew up Pentecostal, and I was Southern Baptist, so we were both fervent yet never dogmatic in our religious beliefs..."
