    Description

Elvis Presley Owned and Worn Black Star Sapphire and Diamond Ring. Alan Fortas was one of Elvis' best friends for two decades, dating from the late 1950s until Elvis' death in 1977. He was also one of the "Memphis Mafia" and performed a variety of assignments for Presley, including working as an extra on his movies, as a ranch foreman at Elvis' Circle G Ranch, and assisting with the 1968 Comeback Special. As Fortas put it, "Elvis believed the wearing of sapphire jewelry was supposed to signify generosity, good manners, wisdom and noble thoughts." he described the ring Elvis gave to him as "a massive solid gold 14K ring with a large number of round brilliant cut diamonds and many black star sapphires." See for yourself! LOA from Abe Fortas.
