Elvis Presley Karate Gi (circa early-1970s). A traditional Karate Gi comprised of cotton-canvas shirt and pants with red satin trim, and black cotton belt with red satin overlay. Shirt adorned with several embroidered patches, including a large rectangular "Kang Rhee" patch on the back and circular "TCB" patch on the chest. Belt embroidered with "Elvis Presley" as well as his chosen martial artist title "Master Tiger." Includes a letter from renowned martial arts master and instructor of Elvis, Kang Rhee, written in black ink on the verso of a copy of Presley's 7th-degree black belt certification.

In the letter, Master Rhee states the Gi, an extra kept at the school for Elvis, was worn by Presley. From the years 1970 through 1974, Elvis Presley trained beneath Master Kang Rhee in Memphis. Rhee was a martial arts instructor of great reputation, and came highly recommended by Elvis' former instructor, Grand Master of American Kenpo Karate Ed Parker. Elvis loved the study of martial arts, as it was thought to center the superstar, bringing him peace during tumultuous times. This beautiful Gi is in Fine condition, with light wear, a few spots of discoloration, and appropriate age.
