Description

Elvis Owned and Worn Verde Boots (1970s). According to one of Elvis' main men, Charlie Hodge, Presley owned boots of various brands but his Italian Verdes were his favorite. One of Hodge's many tasks was rubbing these zippered, size 11 beauties down with Vaseline prior to Elvis' performances to maximize the glossy appearance. The shoes show very little sole and heel wear, but do display some flaking of the outer veneer on top. LOAs from Charlie Hodge and Richard Davis. From the Oshei Family Collection.
