Electric Light Orchestra - Jeff Lynne Shirt by Malcolm Ball with Band-Signed LP and Tour Ephemera. Malcolm Ball was a go-to tailor for British rock stars in the 1970s, and his designs were found on Bowie, Roxy Music - you name them, they all wore Ball. Jeff Lynne sported this terrific black and silver Ball creation during ELO's late 1970s heyday. In a black polyester fabric, solid arms and back, with a see-through front with glittery floral embellishments. No size given, a seven button front, and a triangular 3" tear at the point where the right sleeve meets the chest, overall Very Good otherwise. Accompanied by a copy of ELO's hits LP, OLE' ELO, inscribed in blue ballpoint by Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan, Hugh McDowell, Richard Tandy, Mik Kaminski, Kelly Groucutt, and Melvin Gale, with Lynne adding the personal inscription "To Dick, Love," with his signature. Another inscription at the top reads "To Dick - our favourite laser man! from ELO" Richard "Dick" Stamberg was the operator of the laser lights on ELO's late 70s groundbreaking tours, and is the owner and consignor of these great items. Included are a pair of Stamberg's backstage passes from 1977, and several original photos of the band performing taken by Stamberg. A very nice collection for an ELO fan. COA from Heritage Auctions.
