    Description

Alice Cooper - Neal Smith Outfit, With Pants Worn on Back Cover of Love it to Death (1971). These multi-colored, patchwork velvet pants, fashioned by Cindy, the band's seamstress and Smith's sister, are prominently seen as worn by Neal Smith on the back cover of the landmark 1971 effort Love it to Death. Smith often paired them with this fur-cuffed, bird-centric patchwork velvet jacket for an undeniably funky look. Love it to Death was not only the first commercially successful album from Alice Cooper, it was the beginning of the band fully embracing the potential of their theatricality. With the massive lead single "I'm Eighteen" and an ever evolving image, this was the beginning of the famed group's rise to the top. A large part of that wild image was the far-out look of drummer Neal Smith. His look combined effeminate glamour and edgy, tough-guy attitude, and is perfectly displayed in this jacket/pants combo. In worn-but-well-loved condition. In addition, this lot includes a Love it to Death CD signed by Smith. From the Neal Smith Alice Cooper Collection.
