A Phil "Fang" Volk of Paul Revere and the Raiders Stage-Worn Jacket, Circa 1960s. Made of white velvet, collarless, decorative black trim on the front and cuffs, double-breasted, ten button front closure, label reads "Strictly for Birds / by Garside" (with an additional handwritten annotation of "Fang"); together with a white polyester ruffled dickie; one of the classic "revolutionary style" matching jackets worn by Volk and the rest of the band when they performed on TV and onstage throughout the 1960s.

This jacket was consigned directly to Heritage Auctions by Phil "Fang" Volk himself. Volk recalls that the band members had numerous versions of this style jacket made in various colors and with various adornment. This particular one was worn by Volk countless times on Dick Clark's popular national daily TV show, "Where the Action Is," which aired on ABC from 1965 to 1967. Additionally, it was worn on tour as it was more light weight than the fancier ones the Raiders usually wore for television appearances (though it is quite similar to the jackets used on their famous "Ed Sullivan Show" appearance in April 1967); included with a Letter of Provenance signed by Volk.
