A Phil "Fang" Volk of Paul Revere and the Raiders Coat, Circa 1966. Made of brown and beige herringbone wool, tan wool lapels, side slit pockets, back belt, double-breasted, eight button front closure, inside label reads "Genie;" custom-made for Volk to wear as his 'mod' winter coat in the mid-1960s.

This coat was consigned directly to Heritage Auctions by Phil "Fang" Volk himself. Volk recalls that this piece was made for him by Jeannie Franklyn [professionally known as "Genie"], the young female tailor who had a shop on the Sunset Strip and who made costumes for the Raiders as well as other movers and shakers of the day including Mama Cass Elliot, the Monkees, and Donovan, among others. The coat was specially designed for Volk to wear to public events like movie premieres, especially in New York City where it was cold; included with a Letter of Provenance signed by Volk.
