A Connie Francis Bomber Jacket Worn While Entertaining the Troops in Vietnam, 1967.Traditional military issue, olive green nylon, front zip-up closure, inside label reads in part "U.S. Navy / Jacket , Winter Flying Suit / Size 36S," patch on upper left breast reads "Connie Francis," ten other military patches on front, sleeves, and back, all of which were given to Francis by military personnel at each new base she visited -- she would then sew them to her jacket; included with Francis' CD titled "A Soldier Died Today" and two black and white images showing CF wearing the jacket.
Included with a 'Certificate of Authenticity' hand-signed by Connie Francis.
"I was one of the first female performers to travel to Vietnam on my own to entertain the troops there. I organized my own itinerary and paid my own way because it was very important to me to help keep morale up for our fighting soldiers. I wore this jacket the whole time I was there so it's very sentimental to me. My experience singing for our boys in Vietnam profoundly changed me for the rest of my life."
