    Description

Buddy Holly Limited Edition Acoustic Guitar Signed by Top Music Icons. This unique guitar takes it's title from one of Buddy Holly's final New York apartment tape songs. It is also the name of the Buddy Holly Educational Foundation sponsored annual songwriting masterclasses in the USA & UK.
Handmade by master luthier Alister Atkin and Atkin Guitars of Canterbury, England, this sunburst acoustic guitar has been lovingly crafted in the style of Buddy Holly's beloved Gibson J-45 on which he wrote or co-wrote so many of his iconic songs. It features a tiger-stripe pickguard, and includes a tooled-leather guitar cover made by Judy Edwards (wife of late guitar legend Nokie Edwards) mimicking the one used by Holly on his Gibson, and a black hard case with red plush lining. Though Buddy was known for playing a Fender Stratocaster on stage, his World War II-era Gibson J-45 was his main offstage instrument.
The guitar is signed on the body in silver paint pen by a multitude of Buddy Holly's most notable fans and contemporaries. The list reads like a veritable who's-who of many of the biggest names in the history of Rock N' Roll, including Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Brian Wilson, Graham Nash and Allan Clarke of the Hollies (legendary rock band named after Buddy's surname), Robert Plant, Don McLean, Peter Frampton, British rock and skiffle star Cliff Richard, Donovan, Dion, Brian May, Bob Geldof, country music singer David Frizzell, Dolly Parton, Don Everly, Duane Eddy, platinum-selling singer-songwriter Kimmie Rhodes, English guitarist Albert Lee, Shelly Poole, Bob Harris, Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine, The Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, Peter Asher, Keith Allison of Paul Revere & the Raiders, John Jorgenson, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee James Burton, Graham Gouldman, Bruce Welch of The Shadows, Marty Wilde, country session guitarist/songwriter Brent Mason, Richard Thompson of The Fairport Convention, and several others. In addition, on the headstock of the guitar, the endorsement signature of Buddy's widow Maria Elena Holly.
In a sea of incredible autographs, the following three signatures are perhaps the most noteworthy of all - Jerry Allison, original Cricket, drummer and co-songwriter, Sonny Curtis, guitarist/singer-songwriter who played on some of Holly's early Decca hits, and joined The Crickets after Buddy's passing in 1959; and co-writer of two of Buddy Holly's biggest hits, "Rave On" and "Oh, Boy!", Sonny West.
This beautiful guitar is its own Rock N' Roll museum, with six decades of music history inscribed atop its immaculately finished body. Oh, boy, indeed!
