Beatles Tour Book Pages Signed on the Flight from Their Final Concert in a Framed Display (1966). A piece of enormous importance, here are four pages from the 1966 Beatles tour book, each showing a black-and-white close up of a member's face, each autographed by the corresponding Beatle. Signed on a flight from San Francisco to Los Angeles directly after the Fab Four's final concert at Candlestick Park on August 29, 1966, making these quite possibly the last-ever post-concert set of Beatles autographs obtained! The signatures were acquired by American Airlines stewardess Linda Mason, who with two other attendants, accompanied the Beatles on both flights to and from San Francisco, and watched that legendary final concert from the side of the stage!

In black ballpoint, Paul has signed "To Linda / Thanks! / Paul McCartney"; in blue ballpoint ink John signs "To Linda / Thanks for the cornflakes / Love / John Lennon/ xx" - Lennon's reference to cornflakes is explained in Linda's included eleven-page letter of provenance, which states that he requested 35 boxes of said cereal, along with 35 cereal bowls for the flight, one of which she served to him; George has simply signed his name in blue ballpoint ink; Ringo has signed "To Linda / Love From Ringo Starr" in pencil.

Performed in front of approximately 25,000 screaming fans, the Beatles' final concert - with a setlist consisting of eleven songs, including "Day Tripper," "Paperback Writer," "Yesterday," and eight others - was an immensely important event in the Fab Four's career, as though they would last as a band for four more (occasionally strained) years, the Beatles retired that evening as a live act, deciding to focus instead on recording increasingly artistic albums that would stand as timeless classics. This piece is part of a wonderful story - not only of the Beatles as a band, but of a fan who was lucky enough to spend hours with arguably the greatest band in Rock n' Roll history on their final day as a live touring act.

Sleekly matted and framed with a photo of Linda walking down the airplane steps with the Beatles and a metal placard detailing the event (though the date of August 24, 1966 is wrong), to an overall 31" x 40". Each page of the tour book measures approximately 11" x 12" (sight). Pages in Fine condition, with some light toning, handling wear, and tape residue on the verso, with some restoration evident. All signatures clear, prominent examples. Framed by Allan Jeffries Framing. LOA from Frank Caiazzo.
